2. How we use the data we collect
We use, store and process information, including personal data, about you in order to provide the Relux.com platform and Relux Informatik AG software applications, to be able to process registrations for webinars and training courses as well as orders, to analyse, improve and further develop as well as to create and maintain a trustworthy and secure environment and to comply with our legal obligations.
2.1 Provision, improvement and further development
So that you may use the Relux.com platform and software applications of Relux Informatik AG.
To further develop and improve the Relux.com platform and software applications of Relux Informatik AG and to phase out unused functions.
To provide our customer service for administration, support, e-learning and e-shop.
To send you service or support messages such as updates, security alerts and account notifications.
The data and rights of your invited contacts in your account will not be used for any other purpose and are the sole responsibility of the account holder.
2.2 Creating and maintaining a trustworthy and secure environment
To detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, security-related incidents and other harmful activities.
To carry out safety investigations and risk assessments.
To comply with our legal obligations.
To settle any disputes with our members and to enforce our agreements with third parties.
2.3 Provision, personalisation, measurement and improvement of our advertising and
marketing measures
To send you special promotions, marketing information, advertising and other information that may be of interest to you based on your preferences.
To personalise, measure and improve our advertising.
For the implementation of recommendation programmes, loyalty bonuses, surveys, competitions, prize competitions or other sales-promoting measures or events carried out by Relux Informatik AG.
2.4 Payment services
To enable you to access and use the Payment Services.
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents and other harmful activities.
To carry out safety investigations and risk assessments.
To carry out checks on databases and other sources of information.
To comply with legal obligations (for example, money laundering regulations).
To enforce the terms and conditions of sale and delivery.
3. Data collected by us
The data we collect is divided into two categories.
3.1 Data that you transmit to us
Account data. When you set up a Relux account, we require mandatory information: Your
first and last name, company : name, branche, interests, job role, email address (will be
verified). For the hotline and forum, a personal photo, title, business and mobile phone
numbers, time zone, Twitter account and preferred language in communication with Relux
Informatik AG can be stored additionally and optionally.
Communication. To communicate with other account holders who you invite to your account for the purpose of sharing your saved favourites and own products.
Payment information. For the purchase of licences, for webinars or training courses in the training centres of Relux Informatik AG or their official distributors in various countries of Relux Informatik AG. We may ask you to provide your billing and shipping address as well as bank account or credit card information to facilitate sales-related processes. Credit card information is not stored by Relux Informatik AG (for more information see point 7, Payment services).
Crash data. In the event of support, you can send this data to Relux Support support@relux.comzwecks to make it easier to find possible errors. Such a file is deposited manually by the user as an attachment to the communication.
Support. When contacting Relux Informatik AG support, please inform us of the circumstances, the type of enquiry, the product name to which your enquiry relates and, if required, provide an attachment - usually a project file - to which your enquiry relates.
Forum. The forum is a publicly visible platform where account holders can exchange information, create new topics and communicate with each other.
3.2 Data we collect automatically
Location data. To identify the exact or approximate location, the IP address of the end device is determined and stored in the account data, so that the products available for these countries from retailers and manufacturers can be listed.
Usage Data. We collect information about your interactions with the Relux.com platform, such as the pages or other content you view, your search queries and product downloads.
Which manufacturer products are downloaded and used in planning.
Log data and device information anonymised. When using the Relux.com platform and software applications of Relux Informatik AG, we automatically collect anonymised log data and device information, what you use of it (including any clicked links to third-party applications), access data and times, information on hardware and software used, device information, data on device events, unique identifiers, cookie data.
Licence codes. Fee-based services and licences are monitored by the external partner WIBU Systems. Only customer and order numbers of legal entities are stored. Authentication of the person or the personal data of a legal entity is only possible manually by employees of Relux Informatik AG in the internal sales systems via the order number.
4. Disclosure
Relux is entitled to pass on the above-mentioned account data, usage data and anonymised log data of users who work with the Relux.com platform and software applications of Relux Informatik AG as follows.
4.1 Passing on to
Contractual partners. Contractually or corporately bound companies that support Relux in parts of its business processes or offer content, products and services jointly with Relux. These companies only use the data when their services are used by members or users and may not be passed on to third parties. For more information on these and other companies and their role in this, see section 7.
Relux members. Members of Relux. This is a restricted disclosed group of members on relux.com. These members may only use the data for their own purposes and may not pass it on to third parties or use it for non-business purposes without the consent of the customer/member.
Legal obligations. Relux Informatik AG may disclose your data, including personal data, to courts, law enforcement agencies and other state authorities as well as to authorised third parties if and to the extent that this is required or permitted by law or if the disclosure is necessary from a factual point of view. To enforce and apply our Licence Terms, Terms of Sale and Delivery, T&Cs for Members, T&Cs for ReluxNet Members and individual agreements.
Business Combinations. If Relux Informatik AG engages in or is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, asset sale, bankruptcy or insolvency proceeding, we may sell, transfer or share our assets, including your information - in connection with or contemplating such a transaction (e.g., due diligence). In this case, we will notify you before personal data is transferred and thus becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Aggregated data. Relux Informatik AG may also share aggregated data (information about our users that we combine so that individual users can no longer be identified or referred to) and other anonymised data for regulatory compliance, industry and market analysis, demographic profiling, marketing and advertising, and other business purposes.
4.2 Justification of the transfer
Contractual partners. Companies affiliated with Relux Informatik AG by contract or under company law in order to be able to provide you with services (e.g. online helpdesk, for more information see chapter 7).
Relux members. Relux members finance the Relux.com platform and software applications of Relux Informatik AG with their annual fees to an above-average percentage and would like corresponding anonymised figures on the number of installations of desktop applications and on the use of the platform.
Furthermore, Relux members would like to know who (non-anonymised data: with country, company name, title, first and last name, email address) downloads their product data from relux.com and uses it for their own purposes.
Legal obligations. To fulfil our legal rights and obligations.
Corporate mergers. Entrepreneurial freedom resp. reduction, prevention of damage of possible contractual partners.
Aggregated data. Publication of figures on the number of users, programme installations etc. based on anonymised data. Such data is an important basis for decision-making in business relations with Relux members.
