Set a licence to
another machine

Learn how to rehost your licence to a different machine.

To activate a license that has already been activated on a computer/license server on a new computer/license server, it must first be returned to the current computer/license server.

1. Open the website codemeter.relux.com on the computer/license server on which the license is active and paste the license code under Ticket.

You can transfer your licenses to your CmContainer using this WebDepot. Please enter your ticket and click 'Next'." Below this text, there is an input field labeled "Ticket" in bold. The key inside the field is blurred out for data privacy. A light blue button labeled "Next" is positioned in the lower right corner.

The license is displayed in the next window with activation date and the option "Re-Hoste Licenses" will be available.

The top margin displays the partial sentence "The license is displayed in the next window with activation date and the option 'Re-Hoste Licenses' will be available." The grid lists the product "ReluxThirdParty" with its active ticket string. Under "Purchased On / Activation Date", the dates 2025-11-13 and 2025-11-19 are visible. The "Serial / Hostname" column displays the container ID "128-28558336" and device name "DESKTOP-AFAG9V7". The status is shown as "activated". Two identical light blue buttons labeled "Re-Host Licenses" are positioned above and below the table on the right side.

2. Clicking on Re-Host Licenses will take you to the next window, where you can deactivate the license.

A screenshot of the deactivation panel in CodeMeter WebDepot under the header "Re-Hostable Licenses". The top text reads "2. Clicking on Re-Host Licenses will take you to the next window, where you can deactivate the license." A gray informational box details a four-step guide to re-hosting licenses between CmContainers. Below this box, the table shows the "ReluxThirdParty" row selected with a blue checkmark. In the bottom right corner, a light blue button reads "Deactivate Selected Licenses Now". A small return link labeled "My Licenses" with a blue icon is located in the bottom left corner.

 3. Clicking on Deactivate Selected Licenses Now will remove the license from this computer/license server.

Now the license can be activated on the new computer/license server via the website codemeter.relux.com
